Experience

Teaching assistant

- Ghent University - present
  • As a Master's student, support practicals and assessments for students enrolled in the Programming course.
  • Guide students on Python programming concepts, answering their questions, and facilitating hands-on learning.

Teaching assistant

- CodeFever vzw - present
  • Introduce children (aged 8-15) to programming and teach computational thinking creatively, using Scratch, Minecraft Education, HTML & JS and Micro:bit.
  • Encourage and support the development of their own interests and curiosity.

Summer Intern

- NVISO Security -
  • Developed a PoC Continuous Threat Modeling Toolbox in Python that turns static security reviews into living Threat Model as Code, evolving alongside client systems.
  • Automated configuration drift detection by linking threat models to IaC and PaC, enabling shift-left DevSecOps feedback loops in CI/CD.
  • Built human-in-the-loop AI tooling and assistant skills to integrate the toolbox into AI environments and automate model enrichment during threat modeling assessments.

(Head) youth leader

- Joetz vzw -
  • Organized play activities and accompanied groups of up to 30 children (ages 3-15) during summer camps and day trips.
  • Collaborated directly with fellow (head) youth leaders and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • As head youth leader, acted as the primary contact for a diverse group of youth leaders, facilitated collaboration and coached them, coordinated daily operations and administrative follow-up.
  • Ensured (emotional) safety and well-being, took final responsibility and made reasoned decisions.
  • Continuous self-reflection and development.

Extracurricular activities

  • Member of KSA Ghent Saint Livinus up until 2020.
  • Sysadmin of DIY homelab for hands-on learning in virtualization, containerization, security-hardening and automated deployments.
